About The ShowEmley Show prides itself on being a great value Yorkshire family agricultural day out, especially as all accompanied children up to 16 are FREE and only £10 on the day per adult. So a typical family of four could enjoy a great full day out for only £16 (based on buying advance tickets) and with the huge number of classes, competitions, exhibits, animals, stalls and attractions on show on the day, many families would say it is a great value day out for everyone.

2016 Show Information
Emley Show 2016 will be held on Saturday 6th August at Factory Lane directly beneath Emley Moor Mast. Expect bigger and better attractions and entertainment all round the showground and in the main arena; expect trade stands, craft stalls and food concessions including local and national businesses, organisations and charities, offering a wide range of goods, services, crafts and foods; expect even more exhibits in even more classes and competitions; and expect another great value family day out.

Our main ring attractions this year will include Shepherdess, Sheepdog Trainer and Trial Competitor, Elaine Hill, who demonstrates the skill, intelligence and flexibility of her Border Collies with her entertaining and educating displays of sheepdog handling and duck herding, appealing to both adults and children. We’ll also have Dingle Fingle, an award winning clown and variety artiste. Dingle Fingle, an undercover policeman, is on the relentless pursuit of Slippery Sid the classic car thief. A fantastic main arena attraction full of classic Keystone Cops slapstick fun and stunts for all the family! Audience participation guaranteed.

A Little History About the Show
The Emley Show society exists to promote agricultural interests and raise funds to support local enterprises and individuals who meet the criteria of our constitution. At the same time we hope we are providing an enjoyable family day out for the wider community.
Emley Show will be over 120 years old – with the first show held in 1893. It has moved around a number of sites over the years, with the current one being Factory Farm on Emley Moor.

Emley is a village in West Yorkshire between Huddersfield and Wakefield. In the Doomsday Book of 1086 it was listed as Ameleie and dates back to Anglo-Saxon times. As well as Emley Show, Emley is also famous for the Emley Moor Transmitter Mast, Emley Football Club and the Emley Boundary Walk.
